When: 5-7 pm on the second and fourth Sunday of each month

Where: The Media Room at The Club at Town Center

What: Join the Circle Jam and improve your presentation and supporting player skills while broadening your musical horizons with like-minded vocalists and instrumentalists in a fun, positive environment. Music will range from ‘60s to current acoustic music: folk, rock, Beatles, Neil, Eagles, Jackson, Blues or whatever you are into. Guitars, ukuleles, bass guitars, singers and acoustic percussion players are all welcome. No amplifiers, please!

Format: We will set up in a large circle. Going around the circle, each player selects and performs a song and everyone else joins in if they are able to add to the performance.

Guidelines:

  1. Maximum of 10 chairs
  2. Be mindful of your dynamics – you should always clearly hear the performer’s instrument and vocals.
  3. Be ready with two or three songs and bring chord/lyric handouts or digital files to project. (OnSong on an iPad is the preferred media.)
  4. There will not be a lot of time for instruction to beginners. But if you know the basic chords and can carry a tune, you’ll have a great time!
