 Tom Fitzgerald

tom-fitzgerald_spotlightIn 1989, Tom Fitzgerald and his wife JeanAnn, moved from Denver to Reno, relocated their printing company to Sparks and hired 25 new employees. In August of 1991, they moved into a Caughlin Ranch house that would be their home for the next 24 years. For a variety of reasons, in early 2015 Tom and JeanAnn decided it was time to move into a new house. After researching all available options that met their needs, they decided there was only one new place they could call home – Somersett. They moved into their Somersett home in August 2015. After observing the development and growth of Somersett from the perspective of an active homeowner (including four years on the Caughlin Ranch HOA board), Tom decided to learn more about his new neighborhood. In August 2015, he began attending all scheduled Board meetings as well as most Finance Committee meetings. After learning so much about where Somersett has been and what some of its future challenges might be, Tom decided to call on his past experiences on over 40 various Boards and filed to run for the SOA Board. As one of three 2016 elected Board members, Tom is excited to work with other Board members and the SOA professional staff in representing all Somersett homeowners in the best possible manner. When not participating on the various SOA committee and Board assignments, Tom is a mentor with SCORE and Entrepreneur’s Assembly helping new and recent start up businesses overcome the challenges small businesses face. Both Tom and his wife enjoy their decision to make Somersett their new community and look forward to the positive future this area provides.
