Draun Manning

Draun was raised in Reno, Nevada, where he graduated from Hug High School in 2007 and was a 4-year student-athlete who played basketball, football and ran track. After high school, Draun started working for the army depot as a civilian. He then moved on to working with the school district to help kids with behavior struggles. Draun has remained active in sports around the community as a basketball coach at the Boys & Girls Club of Truckee Meadows, the Redbirds AAU team and high school basketball.

Draun is going on his third season of coaching high school basketball and enjoys assisting athletes with skill development, and agility and strength training. While coaching at McQueen High School, his freshman boys’ basketball team had the most winning record of all the boys’ basketball programs that year. Draun now coaches at Wooster High School and has had another highly successful winning season with the Wooster boy’s freshman class, having the most successful basketball team of any level at Wooster High School. The 2018-2019 season saw the most wins of a Wooster freshman boys basketball team in 20 years!

Draun is a committed and enthusiastic mentor to the youth athletic community in Reno and strives to help future athletes to become the best they can be, not only in basketball but also growing up to be outstanding young men and women of integrity, passion and character.
