Thanks to Gov. Sisolak’s amended directive allowing golf activities to resume  if played “safely and in a way that prevents the spread of COVID-19,” the  the Canyon Nine Golf Course is now open. Here are the details:

The Canyon 9 is open for all Somersett residents to enjoy at no cost. No reservations are required. We ask those playing the course to maintain social distancing at all times. As a courtesy to other golfers, please keep groups to no more than four players per group to help with course flow.

Here are other guidelines we have put in place to enhance safety:

  • Rings have been installed in the holes to prevent your ball from falling into the cup. Please use your golf club to knock the ball from the hole. Do not retrieve the ball with your fingers!
  • Bunker rakes have been removed from the course. Golf staff will periodically rake bunkers.
  • Ball washers on the course have been removed.
  • Restrooms and water fountains are closed.
  • Pushcarts have been removed from the course to avoid a touch point. You are welcome to use your own push cart.
  • Remember, benches should also be considered a potential touch-point surface, so please do not use them.

Be safe and enjoy your game!
